Northern Ireland Cadets meet The Queen

Over 60 cadets and adult volunteers had the privilege to meet HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh when they attended a reception at Hillsborough Castle to celebrate 150 years of the Cadet Forces.

Cadet Band Sergeant Major Hywell Dowsell was selected to perform in front of members of the Royal Family, Government Ministers and hundreds of members of the general public at the Royal Albert Hall last November.

When the new Lord Mayor of London, Michael Bear, was installed in November, a cadet force band was proud to be part of the Lord Mayor's Show and 48 cadets from across London had the privilege of forming a Guard of Honour for the new Mayor.
